Blaine Does It Again In Montgomery !!!

Blaine Aldridge wins ORSCA 6.0 race in Montgomery Al. This is 2 years in a row for him.  Blaine had to go through a tough field of some of the best 6.0 drivers to get to the winners circle, 1st. round he lucked up and had a broke buy, 2nd. round brought Blaine up against Will Coots, Blaine pulled the win light  with a 6.06.4 to Coots 6.11.2. Third round brought him up against Michael Wright. Blaine cut an 002 light to Wrights 023 light with Blaine winning that round with an 6.00.8 to Wrights break out of a 5.99.6. Fourth round was against  Bill Cowles a regular at  Montgomery Motorsports Park, this was a double break out with Blaine taking the win. The Finals put Blaine up against Michael Strickland a pioneer 6.0 racer, we knew this was going to be a tough round but Michael went red and Blaine pulled the win light. So congratulations to Blaine on his 2nd. Montgomery win. Also i would like to congratulate Michael Strickland on his runner up.

Eric Armstrong Wins ORSCA 6.0 At Atlanta Dragway....

Eric Armstrong one of ORSCA youngest drivers in the 6.0 class, got his 1st. win at Atlanta Dragway. Eric ran good all weekend. Eric qualified 11th. out of 22 cars on Saturday. On Sunday Eric was on his game by cutting the tree down on some of ORSCA best drivers. In the final round Eric was up against LeBron (The Man) Hill ORSCA Points Champ for 2007, Eric went a 6.00.3 to Lebron's 6.01.4 . So Congratulation Eric & Family  on your Win !!!! Also Eric has had a busy week, not only did he win his 1st. race he also graduated from High School on 5/23/08. Way to Go !!!!

 Pinks All Out at Atlanta Dragway....

Mike Ghee an ORSCA regular from Garner Racing in there beautifull Camaro was picked for Nate's Quick 8. Mike ran good all day, laying down some of the fastest times the crowd seen all day. In the quick 8 finals Mike was up against Jerry Conners another ORSCA regular. Jerry had engine failure on the starting line so Mike blasted off another good run and won the cash & prizes. Congratulations Garner Racing !!!!

John's 1st ORSCA Race at Carolina Dragway

 John joined us at Robs Racing for his 1st. ORSCA race at the House of Hook. He has been running at Ware Shoals dragway for a while and never been in a real race, so he decided to come and join us for a weekend race at the House of Hook. John entered into the Limited Street class,  on the last qualifying pass he blew his transmission and was done for the weekend. This camaro will be a Robs Racing this winter for a little fine tuning and will be back next season stronger than ever.

Nicky was testing a new combo in the ORSCA Points race.. Still having a few bugs to get worked out but all in all, he had a pretty good weekend. Nicky was up against Jeff Paulk in the 1st. round, with Nicky taking the win. 2nd round brought him up against team mate Blaine Aldridge, ( this is just so wrong having to watch this one! I wanted both to win but we all know that can not happen. ) Blaine takes the win, Nicky had a fuel problem and just coasted down the track. The weekend was over for Nicky but instead of him just packing up and leaving, he stayed to cheer on Blaine as he goes round after round to the finals, where Blaine was runner up. I'll tell ya these are 2 of the best guys around. We could not ask for any better friends then these 2 are!!! A Big Thank You goes out to Blaine & Nicky for all the support they give us here at Robs Racing. 

Blaine Aldridge Runners Up At Carolina

We had a blast this weekend at the ORSCA points race at Carolina Dragway... We had good friends good food and alot of good racing going on. Blaine was the highlight of our weekend by going round after round til he made it to the finals, where him and Scott Flowers paired up for the 6.0 index finals. We were all hoping for the win but Blaine ran a little too fast with a 5.99.5. That puts Blaine with 1 win and 2 runner up's this year in the ORSCA points series. Blaine is currently #3 in the points, with 1 more race to go we are hoping to advance to 1st or 2nd by the end of the Huntsville ORSCA points race. Way to go Blaine!!!!  

We fought the extreme heat all weekend, temps around 100 not sure on the track temp but it was hot!!!!!

Saturday was not a good day for us with qualifing 16 out of 30 something cars, but when Sunday rolled around I had a trick up my sleeve that would take out the top runners in 6.0 and take Blaine to the finals.

Final round was between Blaine Aldridge & Derek Sanford. Blaine had a .021 light to Sanford .037 light with Blaine taking the win with a thottle patting  6.01.2 to Sanfords 6.02.5. Blaine did everything that he was suppose to do good lights and driving the other end ..

So congratulations to Blaine Aldridge on his well deserved  6.0 win.......
